When can I download the app?
iOS and Android launch is targeted for Q3 2026, first in Australia, New Zealand and India. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the day it goes live in your region.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone 6s and later (iOS 15.1+), iPad (iPadOS 15.1+), and Android phones and tablets (Android 7.0+). A web version is on the roadmap for after the mobile launch — join the waitlist and we'll email you when it's ready.
Is there a free tier, or do I need to pay right away?
Every new account starts with a 30-day free trial with all features unlocked — no credit card required. After the trial you drop to Sauce Chef (free forever) unless you pick Sous Chef or Head Chef for unlimited recipe generations, weekly meal plans and imports. You'll see the exact monthly price in your local currency inside the app on the plan screen before you subscribe.
What can Chef Happens actually do?
Turn ingredients (typed, spoken, or photographed) into a fresh AI recipe; plan an entire week with a matching grocery list; track a smart Pantry with expiry dates and running-low nudges; save favourites into Collections; import recipes from URLs, Reels, TikToks, screenshots or handwritten notes; and cook step-by-step with timers and voice. Pepper handles the food, Fizz handles the drinks.
Will you launch anywhere else?
Not for the first wave. Chef Happens is deliberately geo-locked to AU, NZ and IN so we can ship strong regional fluency (units, seasons, festivals, brand names) without spreading thin. Post-launch expansion will be demand-driven.
Can I use it right now in a browser?
